My
Story
George was born and raised in the small town of Middlebury, Connecticut. His mother was born in Portugal and his father in Greece, allowing him to spend a lot of time in Portugal and Greece when he was young. Coming from a European background, his family had a love for sports, which was passed along to George. He started playing soccer as soon as he was first able to walk and is still passionate about it to this day. His father is the head chef and current owner of Maples Family Restaurant in Middlebury, and his mother manages multiple offices for a Podiatric practice based in Naugatuck, Connecticut.

George attended Pomperaug High School in Southbury, Connecticut, and played soccer all four years. In high school, he received the All-Colonial Award for skill and persistence on the field. He then attended Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island, but he just couldn’t give up soccer. With no real intention of playing, he walked onto the university team as a Freshman. However, his focus was on his education. While at school, he was on the All-Academic team and made the Dean’s list all four years. He graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and a Certificate in Risk Management.

George always enjoyed helping people, and once he was out of college, he decided to pursue a career in which he could help people in one way or another.

He immediately passed his life and health exam and was a captive insurance agent focused on Medicare planning. He quickly realized how much the older population needed help navigating the complicated world of Medicare. He took his career very seriously from the start and knew more had to be done to better service his clients.

COVID-19 struck suddenly in 2020, and George realized it was time to take his career to the next level and decided to become an independent agent. As an independent agent, he had access to many more carriers than he had previously. Having this access gave him the ability to pick and choose the best carriers and policies for his clients. He quickly realized this was the best decision he could have made because he could now better service his clients with no bias toward any company. He also studied and achieved his Series 65 license to become an Investment Advisor Representative under Innovative Wealth Management Division headquartered in Stratford, CT. This allowed him to further his career and use the degree he received in college.

As an independent agent and financial advisor, he can truly put all of his family, friends, and clients in the best possible position regardless of age or health. He is not a typical insurance agent. His goal is to educate his clients and help them make the best decisions for both their health and financial future. He wants to help everyone and anyone.
